Junior College transfer Shah Hall signed with the Pack Monday after committing last week. Hall, who spent last season at Shelton State, originally signed to Alabama-Birmingham in April but recently reopened his recruitment.
Hall averaged 9.4 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks per game, while shooting 65.1% from the field. Coupled with his 28 starts, the Tuscaloosa, Alabama, native earned Junior College All-America Honorable Mention honors. He attended Hillcrest-Tuscaloosa High School and was previously pursued by the Crimson Tide.
Hall is 6-foot-11 and 240 pounds. He will provide additional depth behind expected starting center Kyle Evans.
The incoming junior started his career at Northwest Mississippi Community College before transferring to Shelton State where he attended for two years. Hall missed most of the 2024-25 season due to a foot injury and is expected to have two seasons of eligibility remaining.
“Shah’s a special, special, special kid, man,” Shelton State coach Joe Eatmon said when Hall originally committed to UAB. “His size kind of speaks for itself. His size and work ethic. Shah is probably one of the most athletic kids of his size that we’ve had at Shelton. So not only is he 6-11, 240, he runs and jumps really, really well for his size.”

Eatmon said Hall is a shot-blocking and lob threat, and is also a clean passer. .
Following Hall’s commitment to the Wolfpack, Eatmon posted on social media, “Go shock the world, big fella!”
N.C. State hosted Hall for an official visit over the weekend. He also visited Arkansas and was reportedly expected to meet with Mississippi State and Ole Miss.
The Wolfpack’s roster has 13 players, including Hall, and has room for two others. N.C. State’s frontcourt now includes Evans, Hall, Robert Juković, Eemeli Yalaho and returner Zymicah Wilkins.
