Ernest Lamont Yarborough Jr., 27, was arrested by Raleigh police Thursday and charged with three counts of felony cruelty to animals for failing to have the emergency surgery done on his female dog, according to a warrant.
The charges come weeks after Yarborough was arrested June 5 on a misdemeanor charge of “intentionally” tormenting and depriving sustenance for his brown and white bulldog mix, court records show.
It’s unclear from available public records if both charges refer to the same dog, or what medical conditions led to the death of the puppies.
