The girl, whose name was not released, was pulled from the water by the time first responders arrived, the Sheriff’s Office said. She was taken to the hospital for treatment with life-threatening injuries.
Officers from the Raleigh and Knightdale police departments and Wake County EMS responded to the scene, according to the release.
