State law enforcement agents raided an illegal nightclub operating at a Durham home early Saturday morning, seizing firearms, narcotics, and alcohol while arresting six people.

Special agents with the N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement Division (ALE) executed a search warrant at a home at 3103 Dearborn Drive, following an investigation sparked by community complaints of criminal activity at the property.
During the early morning sweep, agents found the contraband throughout the home. The search resulted in five firearms, 4.8 ounces of cocaine, 8 grams of methamphetamine and an undisclosed amount of liquor and cash.
Five people from Durham and one person from Raleigh were taken into custody during the raid. The charges range from felony cocaine trafficking to the illegal sale of alcohol, according to the ALE.

ALE officials said that the investigation into the nightclub remains active and additional charges may come later.
ALE is a state agency with primary authority over North Carolina’s alcoholic beverage control and nuisance abatement laws, frequently targeting violent crime and breaches of the peace of both licensed and illegal alcohol establishments.
