Boom Ball is set to hit the field at Nomaco Park in Zebulon this month, and tickets are still available.

So what can fans expect? Photos shared with The N&O and posts on Instagram show fireworks, dance routines and burning baseball bats.
Two teams — the Lucky Llamas and the Chaos Crew — will face off at Nomaco Park, previously called Five County Stadium and once the home turf for the Carolina Mudcats. The ballpark is located at 1501 N.C. Highway 39 in Zebulon, a roughly 25-mile drive east from downtown Raleigh.
“We cannot wait for our fans to experience the fast-paced action and engaging atmosphere that Boom Ball brings, and we’re sure that it will be a hit for fans of all ages,” Caleb Whittemore, general manager of the Zebulon Devil Dogz summer baseball team, wrote Aug. 25 in a news release.

Though many of the game’s seating options have sold out, some were still available as of Thursday, Sept. 10. Prices for those seats start at $30 before fees.
Ahead of the game, discounted parking passes are available online. Then on game day, on-site parking starts at $30, according to the spokesperson.
Boom Ball isn’t affiliated with the Savannah Bananas, but the two have similarities. The Savannah Bananas have put on popular events in the Triangle, recently selling out two games in Chapel Hill.
“The Bananas lit the spark by proving baseball could be fun again. Boom Ball took that inspiration and built something brand new: a six-inning, rule-breaking game where every inning is its own unique mini-show,” Boom Ball wrote on its website.
