Sanitation scores and their corresponding letter grades are used in North Carolina to assess restaurants’ adherence to rules and standards intended to mitigate and prevent the spread of food-borne illnesses.

You’ve likely seen sanitation grade cards at restaurants you’ve visited, and The N&O previously explained what those scores mean and how they’re calculated.

Here are sanitation scores in Triangle counties from Sept. 8-14.

The Wake County inspection management system shows 86 restaurant inspections were completed Sept. 8-14. Two restaurants received a B grade (a score of at least 80% but lower than 90%):

Jumbo China (1625 Ronald Drive, Suite 101, Raleigh) received a score of 88.5 on Friday, Sept. 11.

Kai Sushi Sake Bar (7713 Leadmine Road, Suite 11, Raleigh) received a score of 89.5 on Friday, Sept. 11.

The Durham County inspection management system shows 23 restaurant inspections were completed Sept. 8-14. One restaurant received a B grade (a score of at least 80% but lower than 90%):

Thai Angle Restaurant (200 N. Mangum St. Suite 101, Durham) received a score of 87 on Wednesday, Sept. 9.

The Orange County inspection management system shows 11 restaurant inspections were completed Sept. 8-14. One restaurant received a B grade (a score of at least 80% but lower than 90%):

Gourmet Kingdom (301 E. Main St. Carrboro) received a score of 87 on Monday, Sept. 14.

The Johnston County inspection management system shows 16 restaurant inspections were completed Sept. 8-14. All received an A grade.

The Chatham County inspection management system shows seven restaurant inspections were completed Sept. 8-14. One restaurant received a B grade (a score of at least 80% but lower than 90%):

Szechuan Village (111 Knox Way, Suite 100, Chapel Hill) received a score of 84.5 on Monday, Sept. 14.
