Police are searching for a Carrboro woman who allegedly stabbed another person overnight, leaving them with life-threatening injuries.

The Carrboro Police Department has a warrant out for the arrest of Keila Quarles, 33, who will be charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury with intent to kill.
Quarles is accused of stabbing a woman at 101 N.C. 54 just after midnight, police said. She fled before first responders arrived.
The victim was taken to UNC Hospitals and is expected to survive, police said. Quarles and the victim knew each other, so police believe the stabbing incident was an isolated incident

Carrboro police advised that Quarles frequents the Chapel Hill and Carrboro areas. If you see her, call 911.
