Timothy Richard Fox, 20, of Bennett was initially arrested last month by the Chatham County Sheriff’s Office, court records show. His charges include statutory rape of a minor 15 or younger, sexual battery and kidnapping.
Fox is accused of kidnapping and raping a 13-year-old in February and engaging in a sexual relationship on Snapchat and in person with a 16-year-old between last September and July of this year, according to his arrest warrants.
But search warrants indicate more than two possible victims.
The investigation began Aug. 5 after one alleged victim’s stepmother called the sheriff’s office to report her stepdaughter had disclosed the February kidnapping and rape, a deputy wrote.
“I attempted to push him off then he put his hand on my neck so I couldn’t get away and I just froze until he was done,” the victim wrote in a statement to deputies.
That victim told investigators at least two other minors had shared allegations with her that Fox had sexually abused them. Search warrants indicate deputies also searched a possible fourth victim’s Snapchat account.
The majority of the alleged abuse apparently happened on Snapchat, with Fox allegedly exchanging sexual videos with the victims over several months, though one victim alleged Fox had been sexually abusing her for over a year, since she was 12, according to the search warrants.

“Like knowing he did it to another girls [sic] hurts worse than knowing it happened to me,” one of the alleged victims wrote in a Snapchat message to another alleged victim.
During an Aug. 6 search of Fox’s home, deputies discovered child sexual abuse material on Fox’s cellphone and seized two other iPhones, according to search warrants. The first warrant for his arrest was issued Aug. 12, with additional charges filed Aug. 19 and Sept. 11, court records show.

Fox also has pending charges in Moore County from March related to a motor vehicle theft, according to court records. He was out on an unsecured bond in that matter at the time of his arrest.
