Sanitation scores and their corresponding letter grades are used in North Carolina to assess restaurants’ adherence to rules and standards intended to mitigate and prevent the spread of food-borne illnesses.
You’ve likely seen sanitation grade cards at restaurants you’ve visited, and The N&O previously explained what those scores mean and how they’re calculated.
Here are sanitation scores in Triangle counties from Sept. 15-21.
The Wake County inspection management system shows 76 restaurant inspections were completed Sept. 15-21. All restaurants received an A grade.
The Durham County inspection management system shows 31 restaurant inspections were completed Sept. 15-21. Four restaurants received a B grade (a score of at least 80% but lower than 90%):
Adam’s Mediterranean Grill (602 S. Alston Ave., Durham) received a score of 88 on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Bull and Bean (3710 Shannon Road, Suite 100, Durham) received a score of 88 on Monday, Sept. 21.

Chubby’s Taco (4711 Hope Valley Road, Unit 5H, Durham) received a score of 85.5 on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Wheat (810 9th St., Suite 130, Durham) received a score of 83.5 on Friday, Sept. 18.
The Orange County inspection management system shows 26 restaurant inspections were completed Sept. 15-21. All received an A grade.
The Johnston County inspection management system shows 22 restaurant inspections were completed Sept. 15-21. All received an A grade.
The Chatham County inspection management system shows four restaurant inspections were completed Sept. 15-21. One restaurant received a B grade (a score of at least 80% but lower than 90%):
Subway #11706 (630-1 East St., Pittsboro) received a score of 88.5 on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
