Country-rap star Shaboozey swung by Big Mikes BBQ Cary before headlining a show at Red Hat Amphitheater later that night. Shaboozey may not have gotten the whole bar tipsy — but the Cary barbecue restaurant nonetheless posted a picture with the singer, clad in head-to-toe denim and cowboy boots.
“Can’t express how cool it was having this amazing artist drop in for some Q today!” the restaurant wrote on Instagram. “Very humble and kind and can’t wait to see his career keep booming. Cheers!”
Big Mikes Barbecue, founded as a food truck in 2011, was declared the best barbecue in the state in 2024 according to Yelp reviews, The News & Observer previously reported.

The 31-year-old singer, originally from Woodbridge, Virginia, has been in the music scene since 2014. He became a breakout star in 2024 with his single “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” topping charts for months. He’s known for his blend of classic country with rap and R&B.
Shaboozey brought his “Outlaws Never Die Tour” to Raleigh on Tuesday night with a packed show at Red Hat Amphitheater, days before he’s slated to perform at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday.
