She will be the recipient of a sequined Carolina Hurricanes jersey should Raleigh\u2019s NHL team win the Stanley Cup, she said.<\/p>\n

That was one part of her friendly wager with Las Vegas Mayor Shelley Berkley. The Hurricanes play the Vegas Golden Knights in professional hockey\u2019s biggest series, with the first game at 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Lenovo Center in Raleigh.<\/p>\n

The sequined jersey is part of the wager because \u201cVegas is good at bling\u201d Cowell said.<\/p>\n

If Las Vegas wins, their mayor will be getting barbecue, Cowell said. <\/b><\/p>\n

Berkley accepted a bet with Cowell in a video posted on her city\u2019s social media, offering different terms.<\/p>\n

She said if Vegas wins, Cowell should wear a Golden Knights jersey at a Raleigh City Council meeting.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf by some chance you guys win, I will wear your jersey,\u201d she said. She also offered a Las Vegas gift basket \u201cto die for.\u201d<\/p>\n

But, she advised Cowell, \u201cnever bet against Vegas.\u201d<\/p>\n
