The Carolina Hurricanes<\/a> are back in Raleigh for Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final.<\/p>\n

Around 8 p.m. Thursday, June 11, the Canes will take on the Golden Vegas Knights at the Lenovo Center in Raleigh.<\/p>\n

Major watch parties are taking place outside the Lenovo Center, at Red Hat Amphitheater<\/a> in Downtown Raleigh and at the Cary location of the Carolina Ale House, an official Canes bar. The town of Cary is launching its first watch party in its downtown.<\/p>\n

Thursday is the start of heat wave expected to continue through the weekend, and temperatures forecasted to reach 99 degrees on Thursday, 101 degrees Friday, and 98 degrees on Saturday and Sunday.<\/p>\n

Thursday also marks the start of three days that have a \u201cmajor\u201d heat risk, a level three out of four risk, said National Weather Service meteorologist Aaron Swiggett.<\/p>\n

\u201cMost people are starting to get acclimated to this warmer weather, but this will be the first time where we\u2019re starting to get close to some dangerous heat,\u201d he said. \u201cSo take extra precautions, have sufficient amounts of water if you\u2019re out and about, bring some shade with you.\u201d<\/p>\n

For home games, the Canes will set up screens on the South Plaza of the Lenovo Center for fans without tickets. Pregame concerts begin at 5:30 p.m.<\/p>\n

The watch party doesn\u2019t require a ticket. Food and beverages will be available for purchase, and fans will have to pay for on-site parking. Outside food and drinks and chairs are not allowed, and restrooms will be available.<\/p>\n

The official Carolina Hurricanes Stanley Cup Final free watch party, previously held at Moore Square in downtown Raleigh, is moving to the Red Hat Amphitheater<\/a> (500 S. McDowell St.). The doors open at 6:30 p.m. before 8 p.m. puck drop.<\/p>\n

The event is rain or shine, and people are asked to not bring chairs. There will be seating in sections 1 through 7, or people can bring a small blanket to sit on the lawn. The amphitheater\u2019s clear bag policy<\/a> is in effect.<\/p>\n

Outside food and beverages are not allowed, except for an empty reusable water bottle or a sealed water bottle. Canes-themed food and drinks will be available for purchase at bars and food trucks, including Hollywood Taco Shop and Two Roosters.<\/p>\n

The Carolina Ale House hosts official viewing parties at its Cary location (2240 Walnut St., Cary), and the parties include appearances from Stormy, the Canes mascot, and the Canes Crew, along with eating contests, prizes, giveaways and drink specials.<\/p>\n

Past playoff parties have included indoor viewings and outdoor viewings with large TVs and yard games. The games will also be shown in other Triangle Carolina Ale House locations. Details will be shared online: carolinaalehouse.com\/canes.<\/a><\/p>\n

The town of Cary is organizing a free watch party on the Great Lawn Pavilion at the Downtown Cary Park (327 S. Academy St., Cary) for Games 5 and 6, and Game 7 if needed.<\/p>\n

Guests are asked to bring lawn chairs or blankets, and outside food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed. Beer, wine and other drinks will be available for purchase at The Bark Bar.<\/p>\n

Games<\/u><\/a> will be shown live on ABC<\/b> and online at ABC.com<\/b>, though you will need to share your TV provider and login. You can also stream on ESPN+<\/b>.<\/p>\n
