Hannah Machelle Davis, 21, of Robbins was arrested Tuesday. She is accused of providing fentanyl and methamphetamine to 39-year-old Trent Phillips, who was discovered dead by family members April 11, according to court documents.<\/p>\n

Phillips died of acute fentanyl and methamphetamine intoxication, his autopsy states. He was last seen alive on security cameras shortly after 10:30 p.m. April 10, search warrants in the case say. Family members found him unresponsive just before 9 a.m.<\/p>\n

Investigators discovered a baggie of a white powdery substance and a straw beside Phillips in the driveway, according to search warrants.<\/p>\n

When detectives looked through Phillips\u2019 phone, they found text messages from the previous day with a contact named \u201cHannah\u201d discussing driving to pick something up, search warrants show.<\/p>\n

Investigators were aware of Davis from a previous narcotics investigation where she and Phillips had allegedly purchased drugs from the same person, according to the search warrants. When they spoke with Davis, she said Phillips had given her a ride to her dealer\u2019s home, where she bought $45 of methamphetamine for him, the warrants state.<\/p>\n

\u201cLater the same day, on April 10th, 2026, at 3:26 p.m., Trent texted Hannah and said, \u2018I made it to the house. Good stuff. Thanks again,\u2019\u201d detectives wrote.<\/p>\n

Less than an hour later, Phillips again messaged \u201cHannah\u201d to say the drugs were making him itch, according to search warrants. It\u2019s not clear if that was his last communication with her.<\/p>\n

Davis was charged with death by distribution, involuntary manslaughter, sale or delivery of fentanyl, sale or delivery of a Schedule II controlled substance and possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver a Schedule II controlled substance, the Chatham County Sheriff\u2019s Office said.<\/p>\n

Davis also has several pending charges tied to drug use and larceny in Moore County, court records show. She had been released on unsecured $50,000 bail in Moore County in December on the condition that she completed a drug treatment program, but was rearrested in January after failing to do so.<\/p>\n

Davis remained in the Chatham County jail without bail as of Wednesday afternoon.<\/p>\n
