Now, the store hopes to sell clothes, shoes and outdoor equipment to customers in downtown Cary<\/a>. The new 1,800-square-foot space will be on the ground level of the parking garage at 136 E. Cedar St., the Triangle Business Journal first reported.<\/p>\n

\u201cI think downtown Cary is definitely underserved when it comes to retail. There is some new retail down there, but I think the community has really, really wanted more retail,\u201d Owner Kyle Denis told the news outlet.<\/p>\n

Adding to the location\u2019s appeal were the nearby Downtown Cary Park, \u201cexcellent restaurant scene, and the upcoming high-density residential developments,\u201d Denis told The News & Observer in a Wednesday, June 17 email. The new shop<\/a> is expected to open in October and will still carry the name Apex Outfitter.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe will share more details soon but we can\u2019t wait to jump into the community and bring the same great service we have been providing in Apex for the past 14 years,\u201d the store wrote Friday, June 12 on social media.<\/p>\n
