Aldi\u2019s blind box giveaway<\/a> kicked off Monday, June 22, sending cost-conscious shoppers in North Carolina and nationwide clamoring for the themed grocery bundles.<\/p>\n

Each day until Thursday, June 25, the discount grocery chain will release a mystery box filled with an assortment of Aldi fan-favorite products and grocery staples \u2014 and it\u2019s totally free.<\/p>\n

The mystery bundles drop daily at noon ET and can be claimed at AldiBlindBox.com.<\/a> Boxes are available while supplies last, and are disbursed on a first-come, first-served basis, according to the grocer\u2019s website.<\/p>\n

The first of the grocery bundles launched Monday, June 22, and quickly \u201csold out within about five minutes,\u201d<\/a> USA Today reported. If you missed the first drop, there\u2019s more coming down the pike.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur shoppers come to ALDI for value, but they also come for discovery,\u201d Bridget Kozlowski, director of communications for Aldi, said in a statement.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s what to know about the limited-time giveaway:<\/p>\n

Each Aldi blind box has a theme, offering a curated selection of food and products.<\/p>\n

The first, a snack blind box, featured a \u201ccraveable mix designed for grazing,\u201d according to a news release. Three additional boxes will follow:<\/p>\n

Customers can visit Aldi\u2019s Instagram page<\/a> to see which box will be released that day.<\/p>\n

At noon daily, shoppers can log onto AldiBlindBox.com to snag that day\u2019s mystery bundle.<\/p>\n

\u201cClick on the \u2018Claim an ALDI Box\u2019 to add a product to cart as quickly as possible,\u201d according to directions on the promotion\u2019s website. \u201cIf you\u2019re directed to the checkout queue, inventory has likely already been claimed.\u201d<\/p>\n

Enter your shipping information, and the box will be delivered straight to your door, Aldi says.<\/p>\n

Some customers have already reported issues, however, from extended wait times and repeated CAPTCHA verifications only to realize the boxes had completely sold out.<\/p>\n

\u201cVery disappointing and a waste of 20 mins<\/a>,\u201d Nikki Sears wrote on Instagram. \u201cCheckout waiting room should only be for people getting one. Simple.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cSCAMMMM!!!! Got it in my cart as soon as it started<\/a> and waited 30 mins for it to say OUT OF STOCK,\u201d Lexi Jones added.<\/p>\n

The Charlotte Observer reached out to Aldi for comment Tuesday, June 23, and was awaiting a response.<\/p>\n

The discount grocer has nearly 100 stores<\/a> across North Carolina, including spots in Apex, Charlotte, Durham, Raleigh and Wilmington.<\/p>\n

Shoppers in North Carolina and nationwide are feeling the pinch as the cost of groceries continue to rise.<\/p>\n

According to the latest Consumer Price index data, food prices jumped 3.1%<\/b><\/a> year-over-year in May. Prices for food at home (aka grocery store purchases) also rose 2.7%, with the cost of fruits and vegetables seeing the largest increase at 6.1%, data show.<\/p>\n

On the flip side, the price of dairy and related products fell 1%.<\/p>\n
