La Fiesta del Pueblo is from 12-6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, in downtown Raleigh along Fayetteville Street, featuring music, food vendors, nonprofits and games during the free festival.
“(This) is a time to recognize, celebrate, and honor the long history, contributions and legacy of the Latino community in the United States. Fiesta del Pueblo is our way of celebrating this national month locally,” said Verónica Aguilar, communications director for El Pueblo, the nonprofit that organizes the event. “Latinos in North Carolina have contributed enormously to the rich and unique culture of our state. This is our home, and we are excited to celebrate our culture in the heart of our state capital: downtown Raleigh.”
