Lawmakers are asking questions about what happened to Dominique Moody. The girl’s legal guardian and two other women are charged in her death, the Observer reported.
Police and social services officials received reports about Moody’s home before she died, the Observer reported. Legislation named for Dominique would establish a new team to review serious child welfare cases.

The House Oversight Committee has also questioned Charlotte and Mecklenburg County officials in the aftermath of the killing of Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte’s light rail.
