A man is in the hospital and a suspect is in custody after a shooting Tuesday night in Cary.

Police responded to a shooting call at 9:25 p.m. to the 1200 block of Brickfield Drive, according to a news release.
The gunshot victim was taken to the hospital, but police have released no information about his injuries or condition.

Wednesday evening, the Cary Police Department announced it had arrested 20-year-old Noah Carroll of Fuquay-Varina in the shooting.
He is charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflicting serious injury, and discharging a weapon into occupied property, according to a news release.
