The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate after a body was found in Jordan Lake Friday night.

Deputies responded to the area of Jordan Lake near the N.C. 751 bridge at 7 p.m. Friday after receiving a report of a body in the water, the sheriff’s office said.
The sheriff’s office has yet to provide an update on the incident as of Saturday afternoon but said Friday night that there was no known threat to the public.
