TW Cast & Recruit shared its latest casting call for “Saltwater” on Thursday, July 23. Here’s a breakdown of the actors the casting company is seeking to play four roles in Kure Beach, a roughly 15-mile drive south from Wilmington.
The first role is “fun active adults:”
The second role is “Capri Club beach servers:”
The third role is “Capri Club snack bar manager:”
The fourth role is “beach teens:”

Filming is set for Friday, July 31, when each actor will be paid $96 for eight hours of work.
“The call time, filming location, and wardrobe notes are not sent until the day prior, and call times can be as early as 5am or as late as the evening, with filming days lasting up to 12+ hours,” the casting company wrote on Facebook.
This is the casting company’s latest attempt to recruit actors for the show. Previous social media posts have sought young “friends” for poolside scenes and surfers who have experience in the water.
“Saltwater” is based on the comedy “Aquamarine,” which starred Emma Roberts. The actress serves as an executive producer for the new project and is expected to come back to play Claire in the pilot, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

“In the pilot, when teenaged Coral moves to a dreamy seaside town, she begins unraveling the truth behind her mother’s disappearance — and discovers her mother was a mermaid, awakening magical powers in Coral just as secrets beneath the waves threaten to surface,” the entertainment outlet Deadline reported.
The N&O reached out to Disney for more information about the show and is awaiting a response.
The “Saltwater” pilot is being filmed in Brunswick and New Hanover counties, Guy Gaster, director of the N.C. Film Office, told The N&O in a Friday, July 24 email. Both counties are along the coast in the southeastern part of the state.
In Kure Beach, filming is planned for the beachfront, pier and the Seven Seas Inn. Fireworks and sparklers will be used during the production, according to a memo the town shared with The N&O.
TW Cast & Recruit also said some of the pilot will be shot in Southport, a roughly 30-mile drive south from Wilmington, Port City Daily first reported.
