“After 20 incredible years of serving this amazing community, we have decided it is time for our family to close this wonderful chapter and move on,” owners The DeMattia family said in a Facebook post. “We are incredibly grateful for every customer, every meal shared, and every memory made over the last two decades. Your support, loyalty, and friendship have meant more to us than words can express. Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your lives.”
Georgina’s opened in 2006 and this summer celebrated its 20th anniversary. Owned by New York natives Roe and Tom DeMattia, Georgina’s served a popular version of New York style pizza, by the slice or pie, and classic Italian pastas and snacks like garlic knots and calamari.
