Almost six months after his rollover crash in Jupiter Island, Florida, Tiger Woods will get his day in court.

According to Martin County records, the golfer is set to make his first in-person appearance in front of a judge at 8:30 a.m. Sept. 8.
Woods was arrested after the March 27 crash near his home, when he tried to overtake a power-washing truck at a high rate of speed in his Land Rover.
Deputies said Woods showed signs of impairment once he climbed out of the vehicle, which landed on its side. Despite blowing zero alcohol, he refused a urine test and was placed under arrest.
During processing, two opioid painkillers (hydrocodone) were found in Woods’ left pocket, and he was formally charged with DUI, property damage and refusal to submit to a lawful test.
The divorced father of two was jailed for a minimum of eight hours under Florida law before being released on bail.

The five-time Masters champ, 50, stepped away from the spotlight soon after and sought rehab treatment overseas.
Since returning to the United States, his court date has been moved a few times as both sides work through the judicial process. Prosecutors fought and eventually successfully gained access over the summer to the athlete’s medical records at the hospital where he was treated after the crash. They were also able to see Woods’ prescriptions at the pharmacy he was using in the same time period.
The PGA icon is represented by West Palm Beach lawyer Douglas Duncan, who is seeking a jury trial.
