In a medical evaluation interview at UNC, the victim said she met Martinez-Sauceda on social media in January 2025, and he picked her up from her house the following month, the search warrants state.

“[The victim] stated she felt pressured by Bryan to have sex with him and requested he take her home,” a detective wrote.
The pair stopped talking for several months until Martinez-Sauceda allegedly reached back out, according to the search warrants. He would allegedly sneak into the child’s bedroom as her father slept, she told investigators.
It was during that interview that the then-13-year-old indicated a second adult had been sexually abusing her, search warrants indicate.
“[The victim] disclosed she is pregnant and believes the child to be Bryan’s but believes Jostin will take better care of the baby and [she] is in love with him,” the detective wrote.
By that point, detectives had already arrested Ramirez-Duarte, having charged him Dec. 8, 2025, with sexually assaulting the 13-year-old that day, according to court records. It’s not clear when or how investigators learned of Ramirez-Duarte’s alleged relationship with the victim.
Ramirez-Duarte has remained in jail since, while Martinez-Sauceda’s charges weren’t filed until Jan. 6, according to court records. Martinez-Sauceda has also been in jail since December 2025; he faces more than 40 pending charges in Wake and Orange counties related to alleged car thefts.
Ramirez-Duarte is also facing pending charges out of Georgia and has at least eight pending other cases in North Carolina related to car thefts and handgun violations, court records show. His phone privileges in jail were revoked, except to speak with his attorney, after he allegedly continued to call the victim despite being ordered not to contact her, according to court documents.
