While Memorial Day is a somber holiday, one where Americans honor military service members who died serving their country, for millions of Americans it’s also a day marked by family get-togethers.
If you’re heading out to gather all the groceries and supplies you need for that BBQ, you might be thinking about hitting Starbucks first.
Starbucks does not enforce a company-wide holiday schedule, meaning individual stores set their own hours based on staffing, location, and demand.
Some stores will even open at their usual time at 4:30 AM, and close as late as 11:00 PM.

Memorial Day 2026 comes just after the company’s Q2 2026 earnings report. The company is still in the early phase of its multi-year “Back to Starbucks” turnaround strategy under CEO Brian Niccol, but the company is making meaningful strides.

Niccol has continued to focus on customer experience, including improving service speed. The company has invested roughly $500 million into staffing, labor hours, and store improvements to support the turnaround, Reuters reported in April.
