Brooke Hogan laid out the details behind the breakdown of her relationship with her brother, Nick, explaining that their once-strong bond began deteriorating over time.

“Nick and I never really had a major falling out,” Brooke, 38, exclusively told Us. “We became a little bit distant when my dad [Hulk Hogan] started dating [his third wife] Sky [Daily]. It wasn’t so much about Sky. It was the fact that both of us knew my dad had a pattern, and that he couldn’t be alone for long, and we both agreed that he’s somebody that needs a companion. My dad said himself, ‘I’ll never get married again.’ I felt that it was a very serious matter.”
Hulk and Daily, 48, got married in September 2023, which Brooke admits gave her pause. Prior to Daily, the WWE star was wed to Jennifer McDaniel from 2010 to 2021 and Linda Hogan, Brooke and Nick’s mother, from 1983 to 2009.
“I have text messages and screenshots of Nick and his wife [Tana Lea] expressing the same concerns and probably having more disdain for the situation than even I had, but when it came to making a united front, he wasn’t there,” Brooke said. “Nick is non-confrontational. He’s very good at keeping the peace, but for whose benefit? His or the people he’s keeping the peace for?”
In retrospect, Brooke wishes Nick, 36, “had the stones to speak up” about his father’s relationship.
“I always stress this to him, when you’re financially independent, you can be honest and you can risk pissing someone off by telling them the truth,” she explained. “But when you depend on that person for some sort of support, it clouds your ability to be direct and be honest, and that’s where integrity and character really come into play with me.”
Brooke and Nick last spoke at length before Hulk died of a heart attack in July 2025. The wrestling icon was 71.
“Nick and I were going back-and-forth before my dad passed,” she recalled. “I was actually sending him medical notes I had taken over the years because I was still trying to help from a distance. After my dad passed, I asked Nick for something personal of Dad’s – specifically one of the crosses I remembered him wearing. Nick gave me two crosses, but neither was one I really recognized as something Dad wore regularly: a wooden cross and silver one.”

Us has reached out to Nick about failing to give Brooke the proper cross from his late father.
Despite the current state of affairs, Brooke said the door is not completely closed to a reconciliation with her brother.
“With Nick, I would have to see some empathy,” she insisted. “I would have to see some effort. I would have to see some actual respect, not fake praise. You know, it’s easy to say, ‘Oh yeah, she has kids and she’s got her own business and she’s doing great. We’re so proud of her.’ But like, how do you really treat your sister behind closed doors?”
Brooke and her husband, former NHL player Steve Oleksy, welcomed twins, Oliver and Molly, in January 2025.
“I said, ‘Listen, if you’re gonna try to mess with me, you got to go through my husband first,'” Brooke said. “You can’t pull the same crap over Steve’s eyes that you could me, right? So, it kind of stopped him there. It was a checkpoint. And I stand by that. My husband is very kind, and has always kept a very kind, calm, cool, cordial relationship with my brother. They have his phone number. They know how to reach out to him. They know how to get a hold of him. They know that I’m right on the other side of my husband’s phone.”
Brooke added, “It’s just my husband’s gonna sniff bulls***. He’s my bloodhound. I had to put him in the first line of defense. If my husband thinks it’s genuine, then I’ll consider it.”
