Robinson attends Eagle’s Landing Christian, where he played six games before his injury. He averaged 3.8 points, 5.8 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 2.3 blocks per game, according to MaxPreps. He also shot 43% from the field and 83% from the line.
While Robinson’s commitment may not immediately jump off the page, Gainey has spoken about his commitment to finding players who work well together and care about N.C. State.
“I wanted pieces that really complemented each other and really fit,” Gainey said in May. “I’m trying to build a program of people that feel the same way about N.C. State that I do.”
Gainey also has a track record of development, helping former mid-major players develop into professional prospects.
N.C. State is reportedly recruiting five-star forward Jordan Page, who is originally from Raleigh, and four-star center Jaydn Jenkins. Former Florida center Micah Handlogten told CBS Sports he is pursuing a fifth year and is considering N.C. State, while the Wolfpack hopes to retain 2025-26 big Ven-Allen Lubin if he receives a fifth year.
