A 6-foot guard from Friends’ Central High School in Wynnewood, Pennsylvania, Carter’s commitment continues a hot streak on the 2027 recruiting trail for coach Courtney Banghart and the Tar Heels. Just last Wednesday, UNC landed a commitment from five-star wing Micah Ojo, the ninth-ranked player in her class, per On3 Sports.

While Carter and Ojo won’t join the program for another season, the Tar Heels have done a lot to bolster their longterm core in the last week, building off a strong 2026 recruiting cycle, when now-freshman guard Kate Harpring — who was the No. 2-ranked player in her class per On3 Sports — announced her intentions to join the program last August.
