The restaurant has been scrubbed from the CO and North Hills websites.
More recently CO had expanded in the Triangle, opening a new restaurant in 2024 in Durham’s Streets at Southpoint Mall.
In a 2018 review, former News & Observer dining critic Greg Cox awarded CO three stars, using much of the critique to praise the restaurant’s curry laksa.
“Look a little closer, though, and you’ll begin to spot the clues that CO is anything but a slick concept developed by some corporate marketing department,” Cox wrote. “The first one to catch my eye, tucked in among the ramen and pho variations under the “Broth Noodles” heading, is a dish called curry laksa….CO’s updated take on the classic dish serves up a tangled skein of rice noodles and shredded chicken in a spice-fragrant broth reminiscent of a yellow coconut curry, and tops it off with an artful arrangement of baby bok choy, shredded cucumber and plump grilled shrimp.”
With the closing of the Raleigh CO, the brand still has six locations in operation, all in North Carolina and South Carolina.
