The family of Alexis “Lexi” Kramer, the Hooters calendar girl killed alongside car influencer James Wehr in a fiery crash, has launched a GoFundMe campaign in the wake of the fatal accident.

“This fundraiser was made to raise money for funeral costs, expenses to get Lexi home from California, and to assist my family with other unexpected costs associated with Lexi’s death,” the family wrote via the fundraiser’s website page, titled “Celebrating Lexi’s Life and Passions,” on Tuesday, September 15.
“The essence of a person lives on through how they lived, the love they shared, and the memories they left behind, rather than the manner of their passing,” the page continued. “Alexis Kramer, my sister, my best friend, and the love of my life. Lexi was the funniest, kindest, and most exhilarating person I’ve ever had the privilege to know. She was an avid and active motorcycle and automotive enthusiast.”
Noting that Kramer, 22, was “very passionate about biking and females in the biking world,” her sister aims to “continue to honor that and share her passion for the rest of my life.”
“Lexi was a known lover of green Red Bulls, tulips, cats and making jokes out of everyone and everything around her,” the tribute added. “Getting to grow up with her has been the greatest privilege of my life. We literally lived together our entire lives, when I moved out she moved with me, and it’s always just been the two of us. Anyone who knew either of us knew we were attached at the hip. To know one of us was to know both of us.”
According to the page, donations to the fundraiser will allow Kramer’s family to “make arrangements” to bring her body home to Florida from California.
“I would like to host a celebration of life to honor my sister and give a space for all of her family, friends, and members of our community to come out and share in our love for Lexi,” the page concluded.
The fundraiser has amassed $10,700 out of its $18,000 initial goal at the time of publication.

Wehr, 27, was in the driver’s seat of a 2019 McLaren when the vehicle crashed into a tree in Irvine, California, on Sunday.
“We have evidence that shows a female was in the passenger seat just before the collision,” Irvine Police Department spokesperson Kyle Oldoerp told Us on Wednesday, September 16.
The spokesperson also confirmed that the McLaren had been pulled over by the Newport Beach Police Department in California earlier on Sunday evening. Newport Beach police subsequently confirmed to Us that Wehr had been pulled over roughly five hours before the fatal crash.
“On 9/12 at 7:21 p.m., at Newport Blvd. and Finley Ave. an NBPD officer observed a vehicle with a loud exhaust and conducted a traffic stop. The stop resulted in a warning issued to the driver,” spokesperson Heather Rangel said.
A family member of Kramer’s identified her as the second victim killed in the crash while speaking to the California Post on Monday, September 14. According to the relative, Kramer had flown from Lakeland, Florida, to California on Friday, September 11, to spend the weekend with Wehr, who had allegedly told Kramer he was in the midst of divorcing his wife.
In a tribute shared via Instagram on Sunday, Wehr’s wife of one year, Emma, wrote, “I never thought the day would come that I’d have to say such a final goodbye. Getting the opportunity to love you will always be the greatest blessing in my life … Like I said in my vows, I’m so grateful to have gotten the chance to live my life at the same time that you lived yours. Whether it’s in this lifetime or the next, my heart will always find its way to you. Rest easy, my love.”
