Sanitation scores and their corresponding letter grades are used in North Carolina to assess restaurants’ adherence to rules and standards intended to mitigate and prevent the spread of food-borne illnesses.
You’ve likely seen sanitation grade cards at restaurants you’ve visited, and The N&O previously explained what those scores mean and how they’re calculated.
Here are sanitation scores in Triangle counties from Aug. 25-31.
The Wake County inspection management system shows 105 restaurant inspections were completed Aug. 25-31. Two restaurants received a B grade (a score of at least 80% but lower than 90%):
The Venue Raleigh (327 W. Davie St., Raleigh) received a score of 88.5 on Sunday, Aug. 30.
Anjappar (101 Ledgestone Way, Cary) received a score of 87.5 on Thursday, Aug. 27.
The restaurant was re-inspected on Monday, Aug. 31 and received an A grade.
The Durham County inspection management system shows 30 restaurant inspections were completed Aug. 25-31. Two restaurants received a B grade (a score of at least 80% but lower than 90%):

El Tesoro Mexican Grill (6118 Farrington Road, Suite G, Chapel Hill) received a score of 85.5 on Monday, Aug. 31.
Sleep Inn RDU (5208 Page Road, Durham) received a score of 89.5 on Monday, Aug. 31.
The Orange County inspection management system shows 18 restaurant inspections were completed Aug. 25-31. All received an A grade.
The Johnston County inspection management system shows 26 restaurant inspections were completed Aug. 25-31. All received an A grade.
The Chatham County inspection management system shows three restaurant inspections were completed Aug. 25-31. All received an A grade.
